At Optimisers we are strong advocates of Agile practices like Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery in IT Systems Development. We use tools like Jenkins, Docker and Chef which help us successfully build deployment pipelines that are highly efficient and fast paced. Our implementation provides visibility into the production readiness of applications by giving feedback on every change to a system. The transparency also promotes team collaboration and accountability within companies. We are currently looking for an experienced DevOps Admin Engineer who will be comfortable with automating and maintaining cloud infrastructure. We are currently working with an Advanced Amazon Partner where we architect redundant, resilient, scalable, self-sustaining and self-healing infrastructures on AWS. We utilize variety of tools (Cloudformation, Opsworks, Beanstalk, ECS, Kubernetes) along with automation tools (Chef, Ansible, Vagrant, Packer) in close supervision of our DevOps specialists and their organizational discipline. The ideal candidate will have superb troubleshooting skills, passion for automating everything, and a sense of ownership.

Responsibilities

The DevOps Engineer will work closely with clients and IT team members to understand the departmental stakeholder requirements that drive the analysis and design the quality infrastructure for technical solutions. Candidate will be responsible for the design and automation of infrastructure and deployment using configuration management tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet. Other responsibilities include working with the internal and external teams to gather requirements, implement/update solutions, build and execute test plans, perform quality reviews, manage operations and triaging and fixing operational issues. DevOps Engineers must be able to adjust to constant business change; common types of changes include new requirements, evolving goals and strategies, and emerging technologies. DevOps Engineers require the ability to interact, develop, engineer, and communicate collaboratively at the highest technical levels with clients, staff, management, vendors and partners. The DevOps Engineer should be able to provide an innovative insight to better reliability, scalability and maintainability of systems. The charter for this team will be able to scale and operate AWS load balancing and network management software systems and hardware. Perform security upgrades for our client’s infrastructure, manage network configuration and oversee software deployment in large scale AWS environment. Successful candidates will provide troubleshooting and operations support, innovate to replace tasks with scripts and code.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as DevOps Engineer or equivalent Systems/Networks administration experience
Well versed in Linux systems management, administration and operations
Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent
Experience with cloud and/or clustering systems
Solid understanding of the development cycle of any software based product
Excellent scripting and automation skills (of any type)
Good Management and Team Building Skills
